Lajares is a quaint, picturesque village situated just a short 10 minute drive from Corralejo. The village offers a small selection of supermarkets, bars and restaurants which include typical Canarian fare, a fantastic Argentine grill, a vegetarian restaurant and a pizzeria. This pretty village also boasts two windmills, a delightful church and a lace shop, Artisania Lajares, where visitors can watch the locals make lace and embroidery. Lajares offers the perfect location for villas in Fuerteventura due to its peaceful and traditional setting despite being only a 10 minute drive from Corralejo and some beautiful beaches. A 10 minute drive in the opposite direction will also take visitors to the charming, unspoilt village and delightful, deserted, cove beaches of El Cotillo. Transfer time 35 minutes.
