Villaverde is a rural village that has developed largely on the basis of agriculture. The surrounding hills are dotted with smallholdings but growing affluence in recent years has seen some of these transformed into rather grander affairs. There are a couple of restaurants, bars and a well-stocked supermarket. It is 19 kms to the beaches at El Cotillo and Corralejo is at a distance of 12 kms. This is a beautiful, unspoilt area that will appeal to those who are looking to stay in an authentic setting.
