Holidays in Arguineguin, Gran Canaria
Situated in the south west of Gran Canaria, ArguineguĂn, which was once little more than a fishing village, has gradually expanded to become a very popular resort. Yet, this little town has managed to preserve its original, pleasant atmosphere and its quaint harbour area offers visitors several good fish restaurants and some lively fishermen’s bars. The harbour also has a regular ferry service to Puerto Rico and Puerto Mogan, which provides an enjoyable and inexpensive way to visit some of the other resorts that Gran Canaria has to offer. If you are an early bird, you can enjoy the wonderful sight of the fishing boats bringing in their catch.
There is a nice coastal promenade connecting Arguineguin with the beautiful beaches and coves at Patalavaca and the resort hosts one of the biggest markets of the region every Tuesday.
In short, Arguineguin is a relaxed town with a delightful atmosphere and with its backdrop of rugged cliffs and a lovely, sandy beach it provides the perfect setting for a peaceful holiday.
